Every lineage is different, so we recommend research based on the records you already have and the gaps that remain.
Our current professional research rate is $90 per hour.
Many new custom research projects begin with authorization for up to 20 hours of research ($1800.00). We bill only for the research time actually used.
For appropriate projects, we can establish a checkpoint after the first several hours so that you can review what we have learned before additional research continues.
Before you sign a research agreement, you will receive a written proposal describing the recommended research and authorized time.
Do You Determine Whether I Qualify for Canadian Citizenship?
Heritage Bridge provides genealogical research and documentation. We do not provide Canadian immigration or legal advice.
Canadian citizenship-by-descent rules changed in December 2025, and eligibility depends on the circumstances of the individual and family.
If you are uncertain about eligibility, we recommend checking current information from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or consulting a qualified Canadian immigration attorney or consultant.
If you are already working with an attorney or consultant, we are happy to work from the documentation requirements they have provided.
